Who is Kathy?

Kathy Kerr was a dancer, gymnast, and life-long exercise enthusiast.

After moving to Carrollton, Texas in the early ’90s, she was introduced to Jazzercise and quickly became a dedicated student, class-manager and inevitably a certified instructor.

Kathy passed away on July 7, 2010, following a courageous and uncompromising five-and-a-half year battle with breast cancer. (Learn more at kathyspost.com)

It was soon after her diagnosis in February of 2005, when close friends and fellow Jazzercisers looked for a way to join her in the fight. They formed the team Kathy’s Divas to honor her, and now participate regularly in the Susan G. Komen North Texas Race for the Cure.

Today Kathy’s Divas is more than a Komen For The Cure race team. It’s for anyone looking to flex their muscle and face down the challenges of life with courage and determination.

And you can join them.

Kathy’s Post.

Kathy’s Post was originally created to help keep friends and family informed during her battle with breast cancer, but it grew into much more than a progress report. As a survivor, Kathy understood how enlightening it can be to read stories written by fellow survivors, so we’ve opened her blog to anyone wanting to read her entries or share their own thoughts and stories.
